"MOK Arts" Is Now Open! Bringing Japanese Woodblock Prints into Contemporary Life

Japanese woodblock printing has been passed down through generations, and continues to evolve today in the hands of skilled craftspeople. MOK Arts aims to bring together the rich history of Japanese printmaking and its evolving expressions, harmonizing them with contemporary spaces and carrying them into the future.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the MOK Arts online store.

We present a carefully curated selection of works from studios and publishers that have played an important role in preserving and advancing the culture of Japanese woodblock printing.

Through our NEWS, we will share not only the works themselves, but also the craftsmanship, materials, and stories behind how each woodblock print is created.

Next: “How a Woodblock Print Is Made.”

We will explore how a single print comes to life through the hands of the Eshi (artist), Horishi (carver), and Surishi (printer).
