'When Daffodils Bloom and Fill the Winter Air' speaks of beauty emerging from the cold and dark with surprising, fragrant force: the creativity of human beings, lit against the night. [Light Shines Because Darkness Exists]

The lights of the theater blossom like flowers in the winter night sky, playing out the continuation of a dream.

Saruwaka-cho, the heart of Edo's entertainment. Against the dark night sky, the light leaking from the theaters glows like flowers of light. It conveys the fervor of Edo, where art and entertainment rescued people's hearts from the darkness.

While Hiroshige excelled at depicting night, here he focused on "artificial light." He painted the glow, not fearing the dark but rather celebrating how it shines beautifully precisely because the darkness exists.

The energy of creativity and entertainment. Adds a dreamlike glow to your relaxed space after hours.

[Guardians of Time Preserving the Breath of Edo]

More important than being Japan's last publisher of hand-printed woodblock books is the "weight of time" that Unsodo has silently preserved for over 130 years. Amidst the wave of mechanization, they continue to carve woodblocks and infuse pigment into washi paper using the exact methods of the Edo period. At the tip of Unsodo's brushes and blades, the air and temperature of the era in which Hokusai and Hiroshige lived reside perfectly intact, without the slightest compromise. To own an Unsodo print is to experience the marvel of possessing one of the most brilliant eras of Japanese art in its purest form.
